As most of us know, an easy way to get blacklisted by Rolex and their ADs is to resell pieces that one buys at retail. However, I’m wondering if there’s a timeframe in which this would no longer apply. For example, say I bought a steel Daytona from an AD today and then 10 years down the road I end up being strapped for cash and need to sell the Daytona simply due to need rather than an easy way to profit. Would doing that get me in “trouble” with Rolex ADs? I’d like to think since it’s my property that I can do whatever I want with the watch, but then again we all know it’s not that easy.

Disclaimer: posting this simply out of curiosity, I am not in a similar situation at all but the idea sparked my curiosity
