As we get older, our bodies and features start to change. Our skin starts to lose its elasticity and our teeth start to darken. Many people are jumping on the train to whiter teeth, but do teeth whitening products work on older people over 60? There are a few different things that you should know before you use a product at the age of 60 years old.

It is not uncommon to see a teenager walking around the mall with a fresh set of whitened teeth. Teenagers and the younger generation are looking for ways to look fabulous. How many 60 year olds do you see walking around the store with shiny white teeth? This is simply because as you get older, your teeth will gradually get darker. This procedure is meant to make you look a bit younger, and when your features do not match your teeth you may look odd. Now this is not to say that the product will not work on your teeth. It may take a little bit longer but in the end you may be able to get a few shades lighter.

If you do decide to make a change to the color of your teeth just remember to make it look as natural as possible

Even if you are among the older generation that does not mean that you cannot look a few years younger. Make sure that you sit down with your dentist to discuss your whitening options. From there you should be able to determine the type of product that you should be looking for.
