It depends on what kind of watch movement it has. As Robert mentioned, some very old watches may require a key to wind. Most watches however are going to be either manual wind or automatic winding. Either way this is how you will wind:

  1. Turn the crown clockwise (do not pull out from the case as they are not screw down crowns)
  2. Rotate the crown approximately 40 times
  3. If the watch is automatic, you can now put it on your wrist and let the inertia continue winding
