Description
PATEK PHILIPPE 5016P MINUTE REPEATER PERPETUAL TOURBILLON PLATINUM
The Patek Philippe reference 5016 is in the highest echelon of collector’s watches. Presenting minutes repetition, tourbillon and perpetual calendar in a classical platinum case, this is one of Patek Philippe’s most complicated and most sought after watches.
Case is platinum with dimensions of 37mm diameter by 13.6mm thick. Sapphire crystals front and display back. Lugs are stepped and curve downward for comfort. The watch case is never polished, never diminished, with clean, crisp, unaltered steps on the lugs.
Dial is silver with Breguet numerals and pomme hands. The date is displayed along the retrograde scale from 8 o’clock to 4 o’clock with blued feuille hand; day and month and years/leap year are displayed in the apertures at 9, 3 and 12 o’clock respectively; moonphase and seconds are displayed at 6 o’clock. Being a tourbillon, Patek Philippe prints the movement number on the dial, just underneath the moon phase display.
Movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber RTO 27 PS QR which has 28 jewels, self-compensating free-sprung balance, adjusted to temperature, isochronism and five positions. The one minute tourbillon is visible through the display back and resides in a polished steel cage. The repeater mechanism is also visible through the display back. The moonphase is accurate to one day in 122 years. The minute repeater tone is extremely clear. This is Patek Philippe’s second most complicated wristwatch ever.
Patek Philippe hand-sewn alligator strap with Patek buckle.
Watch is indiscernible from new and will be delivered with box, second solid platinum case back, setting stylus and papers.
